Carp, Chairman/CEO, Eastman Kodak; Ted Fox, COO, Photo Marketing Association International; Gail Whipple, VP, Global Digital Media, IBM Corp.; Norio Niwa, Chief Executive, Seiko Epson Corp.; Dr. Ludo Verhoeven, CEO, Agfa-Gevaert Group.

Future Image was founded in 1991 as an independent center of expertise to assist the imaging industry and its customers with transitioning to digital technology, through executive conferences, continuous information services, and original research projects. The company has an unparalleled fifteen-year record of thought leadership on the future of imaging, predicting the interplay of technological innovation, changing customer behaviors and desires, and business opportunities for vendors and users.

Milestones include:

1991 — Future Image founded, based on the core forecast that the evolution of imaging from chemical (film) to digital will inevitably occur over the next two decades.

1993 — Future Image begins publication of The Future Image Report, the newsletter of reference for the then-emerging digital imaging industry, and still today a must-read for imaging business decision makers. The publication predicts the emergence of a mass market for digital cameras within the next five years.

1995 – Future Image develops the first segmentation and forecasting models for the digital camera market, and publishes them jointly with IDC.

2000 — Future Image publishes research study of reference on Internet Imaging and Web Photo Services.

2001 — Future Image publishes the first comprehensive industry study on Wireless Imaging, forecasts that camera-phone sales will exceed all other types of cameras combined within five years.

2002 — Future Image launches the Mobile Imaging Report continuous information service.

2003 — Future Image launches the Mobile Imaging Summit, the world’s first executive conference focusing on the explosive growth of Mobile Imaging.

2005 — Future Image founder Alexis Gerard co-authors the seminal visual communication book, Going Visual.

2006 — Future Image launches the 6SightTM Future of Imaging conference.

Future Image provides services to the leading corporations in the imaging, computer/peripherals/software, and telecommunications industries, as well as government agencies, financial institutions and corporate IT departments.

As a participant in -and catalyst for- the imaging ecosystem, Future Image believes in contributing to the overall health and growth of the industry, which it does through vendor-neutral public awareness projects such as the Visual Communication Initiative as well as imaging supplements in Red Herring and Forbes magazines, and others.

What Attendees Say:

WOW, what a great conference!! Excellent content, excellent speakers, excellent facilities and excellent food. And did I mention I made some super contacts too.

Brent Bowyer, President, Independent Photo Imagers

You have managed to assemble a very high calibre set of attendees and we had ample time to network, which was fantastic.

Simon East, CEO, Cognima

I came here to learn about the market and to evaluate the opportunity for Bellamax. The Summit exceeded my expectations.

Val Carpenter, CMO, Bellamax

We found the show to be informative and insightful in terms of content and extremely valuable in terms of connections and networking opportunities. Our only regret was that we were not able to attend the sessions on Friday and to continue meeting with other attendees.

Kris Ramanathan, Co-CEO, netomat, Inc.

Congrats to you and your team for providing a really awesome event. Your planning, gracious accommodations and flawless execution was appreciated! In addition we achieved all the goals (and then some) that we set out from Sprint's perspective. Thank you for making the venue intimate and allow us real time to discuss and network as we needed.

Mary-Nick Baustert, Sprint

The Summit provided a comfortable environment in which to network with leaders in the industry, and an open atmosphere to exchange information.

Larry Lesley, Sr. VP, Consumer Imaging & Printing, Hewlett-Packard

Thank you for a very good show on all aspects. I met with very high quality and very relevant people, and you've managed to keep a casual and productive spirit among everybody, which is invaluable. Please count us in for the next edition.

Benoit Bergeret CEO, RealEyes3D
